OCEAN OF SOUND Through the courtesy and generosity of Colin, owner of Banyen Books, Pepe was able to purchase a set of Quartz Crystal Bowls. Having studied and practiced many traditions of Sacred Music, this addition to his vast collection of instruments seemed to bring together the elements for a Sound Healing experience that Pepe has been wanting to put together for a performance. Through the use of Singing Bowls, Chimes, Gongs, different wind instruments such as the Eagle Feather Flute, Ocarinas, Shakuhachi, etc., percussion instruments such as the Hang, Frame Drums, Udu Drum and Marimba, and Chants from Traditions such as Bhuddism and Candomble, Pepe (sometimes with help from his friend and student Zamir) takes his audience on a profound experience of discovery, peacefulness, regeneration and spiritual harmony. The power of sound has tremendous potential to release internal knots and facilitate our connectedness to the natural and original state of joy and tranquility that is our birthright. Sound can also be used as an amplifier for prayer, meditation and the power of our thought to affect material reality (nowadays called "manifestation"). Sacred and healing sound also creates a safe place for community to gather and share connectedness and experience Spirit outside of dogmas or religion.
